This is not telehealth. It is in-person care, delivered by a team of EMDR-trained clinicians, minutes from Glendale.

What we treat

Why EMDR + why Inside Out

EMDR is one of the most researched and effective treatments available for trauma, anxiety, PTSD, and the patterns that persist even when people understand exactly what is driving them. Every clinician at Inside Out is trained in EMDR through the same instructor, grounded in Francine Shapiro's foundational model. Learn more about how EMDR works and what to look for in a provider.

What that means in practice is that when you work with anyone at Inside Out, you are not gambling on the quality of the approach. The clinical standard is consistent across the team. The fit with a specific clinician is about the relationship and the presenting concerns, not about whether one person's training is better than another's.

We work with adults, teens, and children as young as five. Our specialties include trauma and PTSD, anxiety and chronic stress, first responder presentations, grief and loss, attachment wounds, and children's emotional regulation. Meet the full team and find the right fit.

A note for Glendale’s first responders

Glendale has one of the largest municipal fire departments in Arizona, alongside a significant law enforcement and emergency services presence. We see a lot of first responders from the West Valley at Inside Out, partly because the culture of the profession does not always make space for what it costs, and partly because Glendale residents have historically had limited options for providers who understand that culture from the inside.

Cumulative trauma is not the same as burnout. The interventions that help are different. And the right therapist is one who will not flinch at what you bring into the room, and who knows the difference between managing symptoms and actually resolving what is underneath them.

If you are a first responder or a family member of one, our first responder therapy page is a good place to start.

You have spent your whole career showing up for everyone else…

This is the space to show up for yourself.

Inside Out works with first responders and helping professionals from Glendale and across the West Valley.

Mental health resources in the Glendale area

If you are in crisis or need immediate support, NAMI Arizona maintains a directory of local mental health resources and a helpline for those in acute distress. For non-emergency mental health support for yourself or someone you know in Glendale, Inside Out is accepting new clients and typically able to schedule an initial consultation within a reasonable timeframe.

The City of Glendale also maintains community resources for residents navigating a range of needs. For mental health care specifically, we encourage Glendale residents to prioritize finding a provider who is clinically trained in evidence-based approaches rather than proximity alone.
